PIEDMONT MEN OF STEEL HISTORY

Piedmont Men of Steel (PMOS) was launched by faith and prayer in the summer of 2006 by Rev. Woody Lamm and his friend Rev. Ron Harris, Senior Pastor of Greater Love World Outreach (GLWO). PMOS is an interdenominational, men's discipleship, Bible based, "faith missions" ministry open to all men 18 years and older. The home chapter is located in Burlington, NC. Men of Steel partners with many local Alamance County churches. Meetings are held at Ireland Street Chapel, and all donations are facilitated through Christian Bible Fellowship (please designate donations for PMOS). All donations will be receipted and are fully tax deductible.

TESTIMONIALS

  • In my capacity as Chief District Court Judge in Alamance County, I often observe men of the streets seemingly lost without direction or any place to go to seek guidance and support…that is one of the reasons I was so pleased to see the creation of Piedmont Men of Steel…it has made a significant difference in the lives of men…their demeanors exude hope, possibly a hope they had not dared prior to the ministry.

    JAMES K. ROBERSON
    SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE, ALAMANCE COUNTY
  • Men of Steel: scripture based, focused on faith and centered in GOD’s love. These are qualities I think of when Men of Steel comes to mind. We all as GOD’s imperfect children fall short of HIS grace but true Men of Steel get back up and thank GOD for the chance to change. The Men of Steel program changes lives and always allows GOD to lead the way.

    LARRY D. BROWN JR.
PLLC & FORMER ALAMANCE COUNTY D.A.
  • Thumbs up to the Men of Steel, a Christian group carved from formerly troubled souls…most have felony convictions or an addiction to substance abuse in their past. The Piedmont groups…meet weekly in an effort to develop their faith…We call that redemption and then some.

  • As a Police Chief and Officer of more than 25 years, I have seen people who are lost and who feel there is no hope. In my opinion, there is nothing sadder than a man who is broken and hopeless. Piedmont Men of Steel seeks to love and speak truth to all men that God directs to them. They help them find their way by introducing them to the only true and lasting hope, Jesus Christ!
