The Image of Christ

Aaron led us in a passage this evening from the second chapter of Paul’s letter to the Philippian church focused on our core goal of our ministry at Men of Steel, molding men into the image of Christ. We broke down the scriptures by section reflecting on how Jesus’s ministry on earth was selfless, serving, sacrificial, and sovereign. We closed with the question of how might we apply this model to our own lives every day to show the love of Jesus to the world around us through our actions. Selfless Philippians......

We’re proud to have him counted among us at Piedmont Men of Steel. Congratulations, Jon! Aaron let the men in a night of prayer in which we studied passages of scripture and then prayed with specific scriptures in mind. First we prayed in a posture directed upward to God, praising him and asking for comfort in our cares and worries. Next we prayed inward reflecting on the......

God's Provision for Faith and Obedience

Pastor Greg King brought the word to the men this evening with a message from the 4th chapter of 2nd Kings wherein a widow’s faith is tested and she’s instructed by Elisha as God’s messenger to settle the debts of her late husband using only a single jar of olive oil. The olive oil miraculously continued to produce from the single jar until all of her husband’s debts were paid. This was the reward for her faith. II Kings 4:1-71. One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets......

The Temple

Tonight brother Aaron led the men in a message from a passage in the book of Haggai about the state of the temple of the Lord in Israel and how it reflected the condition of their hearts. Because the temple was in a state of disarray, Israel received a curse instead of a blessing. We compared the ways that our own lives are a reflection of the condition of our hearts and how the world sees Jesus through us when your temple is in order. Haggai 1:9-109. You hoped for rich harvests,......

A Night of Prayer

Men of Steel 8-25-25 This evening at Men of Steel, our brother Aaron led the men in a guided night of prayer where we shared our cares with The Lord openly together. In conjunction, Aaron used a scripture-based framework to structure the prayer sessions based on the handy acronym PRAY meaning Praise, Repent, Ask, and Yield. Pray is based on I Peter 2:9, Repent is based on II Chronicles 7:14, Ask is based on I John 5:14-15, and Yield is based on Isaiah 55:8-9. Pray, I Peter 2:9But you are not like......
