The Temple

Tonight brother Aaron led the men in a message from a passage in the book of Haggai about the state of the temple of the Lord in Israel and how it reflected the condition of their hearts. Because the temple was in a state of disarray, Israel received a curse instead of a blessing. We compared the ways that our own lives are a reflection of the condition of our hearts and how the world sees Jesus through us when your temple is in order.

Haggai 1:9-10
9. You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. And when you brought your harvest home, I blew it away. Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, while all of you are busy building your own fine houses. 10. It’s because of you that the heavens withhold the dew and the earth produces no crops.
