The Path of Salvation

The Path of Salvation

Men of Steel 4-7-25

This evening, brother Tony Diana from Summit Church brought the word to the men. We discussed the nature of sin, how it separates man from God, how Jesus reconciled this separation through His death and resurrection, and how we have to choose to accept salvation by walking His path through faith.

The Divide

Romans 3:23
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 9:27
And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Hebrews 3:18
And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him?

The Solution

Romans 5:8
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

John 3:16-17
16. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

John 10:10
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

The Response

John 1:12
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

John 5:24
"I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life."

The Fruits: New Life

II Corinthians 5:17
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Galatians 2:20
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Romans 12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

John 14:21
"Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them."
